Welcome!  This site is a collection of true stories (tagged as “Feature Article”) about real people represented in part by scale models of the machines they used.  The stories are about ordinary people in extraordinary situations and, it usually turns out, their extraordinary reactions to those situations.

The only ordinary you are likely to see here is the modeling.  I try, but I am not great.  I try to deliver my best effort at a good representation of the machine in which, and through which the story is told.

Some of these pages have had a previous life as back in 2003-2005 I ran a website with a similar mission and the same name.  I’ve re-posted some of my favourites from then.

There’s other stuff too, some model-only posts (labeled General Modelling) and an occasional Blog Post if I’ve got something on my mind or something to get off my chest 🙂
